As a broker, SGT doesn’t have a fleet of its own trucks and a staff of drivers – instead, we have thousands of professional transport drivers on call so that we can find the right driver for the right order, then schedule other pickups and deliveries for that driver so it can be a complete route and the driver won’t be traveling “deadhead’ with an empty trailer. 

SGT Auto Transport has a menu of different options for customers, to cater to individual needs and expectations according to vehicle, budget, timeframe and security: 

• Open transport is the most budget friendly and popular method, with several cars loaded onto a double decker commercial trailer, like the ones that service car dealerships. Open transport does have the disadvantage of leaving your car exposed to weather.
• For vehicles that need an extra measure of safety and security, there’s enclosed transport. Enclosed transport means the car is loaded into a trailer and locked in for the entire trip, so it’s protected on all four sides. Enclosed trailers are recommended for vehicles with very low ride height, such as exotics, lowriders and supercars.
• Rare classics or high-dollar luxury cars call for enhanced care in handling and attention to detail, and that’s what white-glove transport is designed for (premium charges apply).
• While we do ask for at least two weeks of lead time to arrange everything for a car shipping order, expedited delivery is available for short-notice needs.
• At one time, vehicle transport meant having to make your way to a truck depot or freight terminal to drop off or receive your vehicle. That’s a thing of the past with door-to-door transport; just like Uber Eats,we come to your exact address for both pickup and delivery.
• International shipping is available, via cargo container ship and RoRo (roll on/roll off) logistics and handling.
• Nobody likes to wait, and we offer guaranteed pickup during the exact window of time you prefer.
• SGT offers standing discounts for college students who are returning to school at a distant campus, as well as active duty military or Guard members, or first responders.
• For fleet management or dealerships, SGT offers multiple car transport options, with bulk shipping discounts available. 

SGT also offers transport for oversize vehicles such as Sprinters and Step-Van style food trucks, as well as heavy equipment and other oversize loads.

Delivery schedules can be disrupted when transport drivers encounter problems en route like bad weather, detours, construction or traffic, but as a general rule our performance guidelines for drivers note that a delivery that has to cover 200 to 300 miles should be finished in a single day. A delivery involving 2000 miles of driving should be an 8 to 9 day turnaround, and then other delivery timeframes can be extrapolated from those guidelines. 

Do bear in mind that since outside factors can slow a driver down once en route, delivery times and dates will always be estimates and not guarantees. While we don’t offer real-time tracking, you can feel free to contact us for updates on your vehicle’s progress. We’ll contact the driver and then relay the information on to you. You can also count on a heads-up call from the driver about two hours before pickup and about two hours before delivery, letting you know he’s on the way.
